A lot more info needed ![]()
Which ISO are you trying to use? Edn 2011.12? DVD or CD? i686 or x86_64? Did you check the md5sum?
What is your graphics driver? Did you choose free or non-free for that driver? Same result if you select the oposite?
How did you create you USB media? unetbootin is not supported for Chakra.

On the second page, were the live session starts, you have several choices, default is free, whcih is correct for intel.
The only solidly proven option to create USB install media is dd or imagewriter:

And she is talking about the 2nd page you get when booting from the liveISO, where you get the choice to boot with standard (free drivers) or use the non-free ones.

Please read back in post #4
Lili is proven to NOT be a reliable way to create an USB install media.
And ofc more info about your hardware would go a long way in helping to figure what is going on.

We have two guides in our wiki how to create a valid USB-Installation Media:
The first one is using plain dd for creation
The second one is with using a FAT32 formated USB-Stick.
Only those two options are tested. All other tools like unetbootin, lili are not supported by us. If our install-media boots to the KDE Desktop our distro is supported by your hardware.

Now you have the wiki's linked twice
One other thing you have not answered from the posts starting this thread, is in #2, did md5sums match?

That is why all the question right from the start for your system. If you had mentioned 512 RAM, your issue would have been solved in the first post, that is not enough to run a modern, full featured KDE on.

Maybe we should rewrite this part then:
System Requirements
a Intel Pentium II or higher processor or AMD64-ready CPU for 64bit
512MiB (1024MiB recommneded) of RAM for running the live system and 1024MiB of RAM for the installation
around 3 Gib of available hard disk space, 5 Gib for DVD install
a screen capable of 1024 x 600 or higher resolution
a reasonably fast internet connection, e.g. no modem (would be too slow)1024MiB of RAM for the installation should be not so hard to understand or ...

I don't think so! chakra runs pretty WELL in liveUSB mode on 512mb ram believe it or not...
in fact I have chakra installed and can hear the music of kde(until login kdm but without X's)
