Dell Vostro 3550 touchpad

Hi all!

I have the notebook in the topic
the problem is that in KDE settings panel the touchpad is disabled. I installed the synaptics drivers via pacman, and now I have two touchpad icons, but they (both) are still disabled sad
it works as a normal mouse, but there's no scroll, etc, and it's very-very slow

after googling a bit I found this page about a patched psmouse driver: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=52538

Aeon_Tux built it on a Vostro 3550, so maybe by using the same patch in Chakra could make my touchpad work?
