Wednesday, April 1. 2009Announcing the immediate move to the GNOME PlatformI have the honor of announcing that we're moving to the GNOME platform, active immediately. We're currently in the process of rewriting all our tools (Tribe, Shaman, Arxin and ChakraUpdater) using the WXGTK toolkit, and putting together a new livecd consisting only of GNOME-based technologies. Reasons for switching: Lately, KDE has been evolving at an extremely high pace, which is hard to keep up with for a tiny project such as ourselves. Therefore we reasoned forward that the much slower moving and stagnant GNOME Platform will be a much better base for our endavours. We understand that the sudden lack of features and the increase in system requirements might put off some of our original users, but we hope that everyone can relate to our hardship. In case you didn’t notice yet: This was an april fool, our joke department is now closed again for another year Trackbacks
