Chakra bundles are half way between the Mac OS X concept of bundles and the package-dependency concept. This is, bundles are one-click applications, auto mountable file systems which contain all the needed files to run an application which is not in the repositories and automates the installation of dependencies in the repositories if needed. Also, Chakra bundles stores bundle-related user configuration files in the bundle, which assures the user a clean home directory. You can read more about the Bundle-System here and how to create one can be found here. Where to get? There are two bundle folders available: How to install? It is really simple. Just download for example gimp-2.6.10-4-i686.cb for your 32bit Chakra and double click on it. In Konqueror you can also right-click on it and choose "Open with bundle-launcher". Trackbacks
